Drawing Workshop (a CLP Program)

Class Description:
The Drawing Workshop is an after school drawing class for the Artistically Talented and is part of the Creative Learning Program. The class for the 2018-2019 school year will start on October 17th and end on November 28th. The class will meet on Wednesdays for six weeks from 2:00 to 3:30. I teach the class in my classroom, B105. The focus of the workshop is drawing from life using such media as charcoal and pastel.
In order to be considered for the class, students must submit a portfolio of artwork (a folder with examples of their artwork) along with three nomination forms: a self-nomination form, parent nomination form, and an art teacher nomination form. (See "Files" to download the nomination forms and the informational letter.) The deadline for the submission of portfolios and nomination forms is October 10, 2018. Late portfolios and nomination forms will not be accepted. Students can turn in portfolios and nomination forms early.
After reviewing the forms and portfolios, a limited number of students are selected to participate. Informational announcements for the Drawing Workshop are made in both art classes and in the school announcements. Additional information can be obtained by contacting me at the middle school, 203.239.1683, ext. 3105 or through email.
