How can I help at home?

1) Let your child choose their reading material.

2) Subscribe to magazines that your child would be interested in.

3) Talk about what they're reading, ask them questions to see if they're comprehending the text. Can they summarize? Can they make connections?

4) Play board games such as Boggle or Scrabble to improve their vocabulary.

5) Provide access to audiobooks, they can listen to books that interest them on car trips, on vacations, or whenever they have extra time.
