Expectations
Welcome to 6th grade science!  You can look forward to an interesting year filled with exploration and experimentation as we investigate Life, Physical, and Earth Science. To be successful in science class, it’s important that you understand the expectations and requirements.
As your science teacher I will:
  • Create an engaging and supportive learning environment
  • Grade work as quickly as possible
  • Update grades on PowerSchool weekly
  • Post assignments, projects and assessment dates
  • Be available for help (for content or organization) during study hall
  • Respond to emails, phone messages (x7100) or notes within 24 hours
To be a successful science student in 6th grade you need to:
    • Be responsible by:
      • coming to class every day with your notebook, writing utensils, science folder and charged laptop
      • asking questions in class or arranging to get help when you feel you do not understand the work, directions or information being taught
      • putting forth your best effort in all your work
      • making up and turning in work missed due to absence
    • Be respectful by:
      • treating all people in the class with kindness
      • following the class norms (the 4 P’s:  Be Polite, Be Positive, Be Prepared and Be Productive)
    • Be safe by:
      • following all lab safety guidelines and rules
      • keeping work spaces neat and clean
