Africa SDG-NGO Project
Now that we've had plenty of time discussing the SDGs and have learned about NGOs, you will be working on a project in which your group is tasked with creating your own NGO!
You will start by choosing a Sub-Saharan African country to focus on, research background information on that country, choose a major issue your country is dealing with and develop an action plan your NGO would follow to help address that issue. You will be putting all of this information into a Google slideshow, which will be presented to the class.
Your research will be broken down into 3 parts: African Country Profile sheet (WorldBook online, see below), CIA World Factbook organizer (site attached below) and research on the issue you chose (for this, you will be doing your own research and putting the information right into your slides, including the sites)
Below you will find the directions/rubric for the project, the websites you need for part of your research, the NGO slideshow template, a timeline for the project and a list of Sub-Saharan countries to choose from.
The due dates are as follows:
-A Day: Slideshows due 4/3, Presentations 4/4
-B Day: Slideshows due 4/6, Presentations 4/7

*Note: Just like our other projects, one person per group needs to share the slideshow with everyone else. That person will submit it to Google Classroom.
