Mr. Benvenuto: 8th Grade Blue Team Math - Team Leader

Welcome to Blue Team.  I am excited to get the 2023-24 year started.  Before I get to know each of you on the first day of school, here is a little bit of information about me.  I was born and raised in Long Island. I lived in Levittown and went to Island Tress High School. I attended Quinnipiac University, graduating 3 separate times from there (B.A., M.A., 6th-year) and still enjoy going back to cheer on my beloved Bobcats.  This will be my 14th year teaching and I am exciting to get started.  Besides teaching I am coaching the Middle School Cross Country team that is entering its' 8th ever season. I am also one of the coaches of the Middle School Unified Sports Team that is entering it's first ever season!!  I have co-ran the “Pi a teacher” fundraiser that has raised thousands of dollars over the years for charity.     

Outside of the middle school, (and sometimes inside the school), I am a HUGE sports fans.  I love to play just about any sport especially hockey, softball, volleyball, and football (you can find me crashing gym class from time to time).   I also live and breathe for the Giants, Mets, and the NEW YORK ISLANDERS!!

FUN FACT:  If I wasn't teaching I would love to be a cast member on SNL.
