About Me

My name is Jessica Comando and I am new to North Haven Schools. This is my eighth year teaching; I have taught 4th-7th grade previously and have truly enjoyed each age group.  I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Albertus Magnus College and my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from University of New Haven. I am a firm believer that you can always learn something new so in 2022, I earned my cross- endorsement in Special Education.

As the case manager for your child, I am here to advocate for their needs and ensure that they are receiving the support necessary for them to be successful in school.  I ask that we always have an open line of communication so that we can work collaboratively to support your child.   I thoroughly believe that we are a team in your child’s educational journey and I’m here to support. A Little About Me:

• I got married to my husband, Max, in 2020 on the front steps of our home in June 2020.
• I have one son, Theodore, who was born in 2022.
• We have one dog named Belle.
• During the summer months, I can be found working on my family's charter fishing boat. My dad is the captain, I am the deckhand (mate), and my mom runs the office. My brothers also work on the boat.
• I love hiking and being in nature. We have a BIG family goal of visiting all of the US National Parks. So far we have been to three but hope to add one or two to the list this year!
• I love to read. My favorite authors are Beatrice Williams and Taylor Jenkins Reid.
