A little about our class...
I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and spending a productive, exciting, and successful year together. This year will be filled with exciting new challenges for all of us. Challenges, academic and otherwise, call for courage. One of the most important requirements for success in this class (and beyond!) is the courage to take intellectual risks and challenge yourself. My expectation is to have a classroom environment that motivates growth, collaboration and critical and creative thinking. Each member of the class represents a different and unique voice that deserves to develop and be heard! Our year together will be an exciting journey, one that I expect will be characterized by commitment, effort, and personal growth. In addition to reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar, this is a class in thinking. The study of ELA teaches us to think and to ask questions of ourselves, each other, and the world around us. Please don’t hesitate to contact me or reach out. This year we are going to achieve our goals and celebrate great successes!
