Scenario Writing Grades 6-12:  Junior, Middle and Senior Divisions

The Scenario Writing Program is a component of the Future Problem Solving Program. We use the same topics to create futuristic scenarios either exposing or potentially solving a possible problem that could occur in the future. Students choose ONE of the yearly topics for the basis of their scenario. State winners in their division can move on to international competition. Although there is a writing contest associated with scenario writing, we have a collaborative rather than a competitive atmosphere in our sessions. For the writing competition, there are three divisions: Juniors: grades 4-6, Middle: grades 7-9 and Seniors: grades 10-12. Students may also join and not compete. For more information, please see our CLP websites or visit www.fpsofct.org.

Students who are in CLP or receive a recommendation from their English teacher for outstanding writing ability may join.
