Our next Core Concept, 1.2, introduces us to the most basic tool in geography: the compass. Without the compass, humans would have no way of knowing where things are located on the earth. Let's learn about the compass, where it came from, how it developed into an important tool, and has been preserved in art for centuries.

There are TWO assignments:
