Mrs. Porto teaches 6th, 7th and 8th grade chorus. Any students who are interested in singing should sign up for chorus on the course registration form. There are usually 2 performances a year.  Chorus Concert (All concerts run approximately ½ hour- you are only required to attend yours)

6th Grade Chorus should report to the NHMS Chorus room at 4:45 P.M. for your concert that will begin at 5:00P.M.

7th Grade Chorus should report to the NHMS Chorus room at 5:30 P.M. for your concert that will begin at 5:45 P.M.

8th Grade Chorus should report to the NHMS Chorus room at 6:15 P.M. for your concert that will begin at 6:30 P.M.

Attire: Everyone is expected to look their best. Wear a white top/shirt and black on the bottom. However, if you have any combination of black and white that should be fine.

If your group is using a "Prop" please remember to bring it!!

**Remember the school dress code is still in effect. Please remember no blue jeans. Also- no perfumes, cologne or smelly lotions. If anyone has a concern or question about this information, please talk to me before the day of the concert. Mrs. Porto (203) 239 -1683 [email protected]

 

 

SELECT CHOIR

The North Haven Middle School Select Choir is comprised of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students who show an interest in vocal performance and display refined musical skills. Any student  who was planning to participate in the North Haven Middle School Chorus is invited and encouraged to audition for Select Choir.

 Students who audition are scored on the following areas: Pitch, Sound, Tempo, Rhythm, and Articulation. 

      Select Choir is considered a vocal group; however, depending on the make-up of the group and student interest there may be some movement/dance or sign language included.
