SBAC Testing
Reminder: Week of April 29th to May 3rd
Students will be taking the Language Arts portion of SBAC.
Students can bring in their own headphones. They must be the type of headphones that can connect to their chromebook.
Argument Writing
Students have been engaged in the Argument writing unit.
Focus points for the unit:
Writing a claim, thesis statement
Research
Evidence, Explanation, Importance
Introduction, Conclusion
Counterclaim
Title, MLA format
Editing and Revising
Dystopian Novel Unit
Students did a great job analyzing the dystopian genre and reading novels. We are still engaged in reading dystopian books, but have moved on to the Argument unit.

I am so excited to be a part of Teal team. I will be your Language Arts teacher. Let's work together as a team and enjoy our time together. This will be a unique year, but if we stay positive, patient, calm, and open minded, we can do anything we put our mind to. We got this! No matter what, we will make it work.
